Meredith Salenger
Salenger was born and raised within Malibu, California. When she was a kid, she loved being a performer in front of friends and family. She was taken by her mother to her first acting class when she was eight years old. Her first performance was as the 'orphan with a singing and dancing dance as part of the feature film Annie produced by John Huston. Salenger had also been featured in a series of television advertisements. Salenger was the first actress to play the lead role for the lead role in The Journey of Natty Gann, which was a Disney film starring John Cusack with Ray Wise. It was the very first US film to be awarded the Gold Award from the Moscow Film Festival. The film also earned her "Best actress in a Drama" at the Youth in Film Awards for her performance as the sexy Natty Gann. She starred in four other films prior to turning the age of 18. One of the films included A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. Then she went to Harvard to further her education.
